Appletini is an apple martini cocktail. It contains vodka and one or more of apple juice, apple cider, apple liqueur, or apple brandy. Typically, you shake or stir the drink with a sweet and sour mix. And then strain into a cocktail glass.

The historical past from the apple martini relates to a brief history of the martini. A popular drink within American culture, the increase of the popularity occurs throughout the events of Prohibition. When illegal gin and vodka were smuggled to the people seeking a drink. Afterwards, as alcohol became more accessible, the drink took off.

The martini itself got popular right after James Bond ordered it in the first 007 movie with Sean Connery. Right after a decline, the martini came back. Thanks to variations like the Appletini.
